Walmart provides grant to Hammond Library to start Spanish collection
The Walmart in New Richmond recently provided a generous grant to the Hammond Community Library worth $1792. This grant was written by the Friends of the Hammond Community Library, a nonprofit working to help the Hammond Community Library’s program. The grant enabled the Library to purchase almost one hundred items to start a Spanish/English collection that will help young learners study either English or Spanish. Some of these materials are being used in this year’s Summer Fun Camp. This new collection is part of the Hammond Community Library’s mission to be as inclusive and diverse as possible.
